She's gone
A lady came by the house on Tuesday armed with a horse hauling trailer and mum came home from work early to help and spend some time with Venna.
They loaded up Venna and she hasn't come back yet.
I was really worried, her own mother doesn't seem too concerned ( So I have been kicking her extra lately for that) Venna was my best bud, and just like that she's gone.
Mum keeps saying she is at a better place with other foals and a new owner who is far more knowledgeable to raise foals. I think I better stop biting before I get loaded in one of those trailers again to never return.
Its so weird here with out Venna, Fay just keeps eating like there is nothing wrong, I think maybe she's in denial and thinks Ven will come back, but I know what happens when you get loaded in trailers, you never see your farm again.
I've been loaded twice now in my life and hope it doesn't happen again.

She hates us both we think
I think we drove her over the edge the past few days.
Venna keeps breaking down the fence, and of course I follow her around the yard.
Mum came home the other day and we were both standing at the hay shack, just eating a few bites. She saw our hoof prints on the road and across the road, she BLEW A GASKET.
It took her almost 2 hours to fix the fence and when she put me back in, I ran right back through, I was worried she forgot about Venna on the other side.
Apparently this was not a smart thing to do.
On my way through the fence, mum actually hit me! She grabbed my halter roughly and jerked my head the whole way back into the fenced area.
Fay was a good girl and stayed in her fencing, mum went over to talk to her after she was "done" with us.
I think she wants me and Venna gone, I keep biting and kicking and rearing at her for no reason, and Venna keeps plowing through fences.
Yesterday Venna went back through the fence but on another side which let Fay come in with us, Venna took off in the yard but me and Fay just stayed in the broken fence. Fay said it would be best for us to stay there and not get her mad again.
Didn't matter though, she was pissed when she saw Venna had broken everything again.
I'm not sure whats going to happen with us, but for the past few days she has been horribly upset with the 2 of us. Fay is a smart horse, she doesn't put up a fight with mum, she just stands there and lets her do what ever she wants to her, I don't think she has ever tried to bite her. I don't understand why Fay just sits back and takes it all?
Well, better go stand like good horses out by the fence. I hope Venna doesn't break it again, I don't like this angry mum anymore, I want the happy one back.

That foot guy was back
He makes me uneasy.
No one else plays with my hooves quite like he does, he must have a fetish of sorts.
But once he is done, man they feel great! I could run like the wind ( if I didn't look so darn pregnant)
Mum is in denial about me running with Cowboy ( my ex ) just before she came and took me from my last home. I'm happy she payed the money for me and my baby, we have a pretty good place here and get lots more attention. But she keeps sending this weird man out to file and cut our feet at random intervals.
We never know when he is coming, he just shows up and the stress starts, for me anyways. Beauty must have met this man a few times before, she just stood there like a champ and took it. I heard mum say she fell asleep. Crazy mare she is, how could you close your eyes when a strange man is cutting your legs off at the knee?
I'm glad that is over with for the next few months.

I don't want to stand like a tool
Its not comfortable. I don't know why she keeps making me do this.
I like when we do our practice "trot" in a circle, I can run like a little snobby dog and really strut my stuff. But this whole "stacking" thing blows!
I just don't like it one bit.
See me in the pic, I stand like a fruit cake with my front feet way too far out and I sometimes tend to roach my back.
I hold my head too low when looking at the "bait" on the floor( which is always the yummiest treat you could ever think of)
This show dog stuff is for the birds. Not for Tibetan Mastiffs.
Mum just wont give up either, until I stand nice, we can't do the prancing run.
I know how to do it, I just don't want to. But mum is determined to handle me herself come show season for me. I like that idea better than that man handling me. He was nice, but you could tell he was all about the win, I just want to have some fun with mum in the ring.
Well, its almost practice time again. I'm happy she's not placing my feet anymore for me. I can "free stack" when I feel like it, but honestly I just don't want to do it all the time.
Karma.

They can't sleep if you attack their toes
I am a genius!
I'm still a kitten so I want to play all night and sleep all day. I have no idea where my people go all day while I am sleeping but when they come home, they don't play for too long.
Last night I figured out if I creep up on the bed while they are making those weird sleep noises they make and ever so carefully attack their toes. They FLY into play mode!!!
They do a lot of jumping and a bit of yelling but once you dodge the feet flying at your face and run away and hide, round 2, 3, 4 ect... are just as fun as the first.
I did this all night last night, I did not get tired one bit.
They eventually got up and closed the door, but another trick I learned from my "brother" Floyd was if you claw at the door they get annoyed with this sound and will get up and open the door again!
People are weird to play games with. They get awfully grumpy about it, but as long as they are reacting to me, I'm happy!
This morning mum was extra crabby when she got up, she told me that i was a pain in her ass and made her morning coffee.
I was tired at this point so when she sat down on the couch to drink her coffee, I made sure to snuggle up extra tight.
Mum still reached over and petted me, even though she is confused and thinks her toes are her ass it was nice to rest with her.
When the bad man got up, I ran and hid. He isn't quite as patient and loving with us as mum, but he's still a good guy. I will cuddle with him later on tonight just before the toe attack games begin again!
Off to get in another cat nap for my overly active night.
Cheese Croissant ( yes that's actually my name, and they wonder why I torment them... do you not think the other cats don't torment me over this name?)

Apparently I am "useless"
Or thats what mum keeps saying.
Yesterday while she was out chasing that smaller of the big creatures thing around and fighting with fences she came into the feed shed ( which is where I hang out a lot... I just don't like the house all that much so I pee on what ever I can until they let me out for a bit, its win win for me)
Anyways, I was watching MY pet mole eat some horse feed from a hole he chewed in the bottom of the bag and mum saw this.
Mr. Mole is probably the worlds fattest mole evah, but he is hungry, we have an agreement, I let him eat and live, he stays out of my bed. I think he gets in the house too just to warm up but who knows.
So, my pet Mr. Mole is so fat he can hardly walk from eating "high fat high fiber" horse feed so he's really slow, his feet barely touch the ground while he tries to scurry off.
Mum picked up a bucket and put him in it and carried him down the road ( shes a sucker too and can't kill him either, I don't know why she's so frustrated that I wont) I did my days as a mouse eater, now where I am I get food every day, a warm place to sleep ( anywhere I choose to sleep other than the counters thats the only rule... that and peeing on things but dammit a former feral cat needs to get out from time to time) anyways, that is why I do not eat the mice, those days are behind me now.
Mum muttered something to me when she came back with the empty bucket about going to the shelter and getting another feral to do mouser job... even if she does, I bet all my claws that it too will wimp out like me and the other cats here. We just don't "have " to work that hard when we live here. Its great.
Well, off to find my buddy Mr.Mole and bring him back, she didn't go too far with him and I know he wont be able to walk all the way back on his own so I will pick him up and bring him back so he can eat some more.
Moxy
Tee hee, I can get out
Ha ha... I can escape now, I figured this out yesterday.
I just realized that there was half the fence that doesn't zap the shit out of me when I touch it, so I put my head under it and walk on out. The bigger horses can't do it, just me.
My people found me 5 times yesterday standing at the hay shed eating. Each time they would put me in the fence again, I would wait it out a bit and get out.
They tied it, wired, put chain link fence up hoping that I would get discouraged and give up, but nope... not this filly.
At midnight last night they gave up and put me in the electric fence area with Beauty :(
I'm screwed now.
My mom is in the fence I kept getting out of, I'm not allowed to see her anymore for a month or so. I just want a drink so bad, but apparently I'm too old for that now so we have to be apart. I can still see her and talk to her but I have to spend my days with Beauty (who by the way DOES NOT like when I look for a nipple on her... nor does she have any milk)
Well, I should carry on with my escape attempts now. Gotta find some way to get my people all worked up again...
Will report again later on if I succeed.

Mum's home!
What a weird week, alone with the bad man.
He's alright but things are never done "just right" when its just him watching us.
We all got food, we all got to pee and do our stuff on time, but he just doesn't play like mum.
My sis came back when mum came back, I think she went with mum for some reason, but she said she was at the sitters. Something about heat and boys. I don't know about heat..., it was pretty cold here so they must have went far away on a holiday with out the rest of us.
Something is fishy with this story. I will be sure to get to the bottom of it.
But everything is back to normal now, play time rocks again.
Today apparently we are building something and putting hay in it. My people don't think its very fun, but to me it sounds exciting. I can probably head out and chase the horses since they will be so busy. My bro Meiko will take advantage of this. The big square hay things are fun to climb on too, and warm to lay in. Just don't lay in the pile that Fay is eating she will try to kill you with those monster paws of hers ( they're really hard). Beauty and Venna don't mind when I sleep in their hay one bit.
Since mum left me for a few days, I made sure to chew something, I like my magazines, I thought I was chewing mums dog magazine but apparently it was dads Cabella's one... oops, I should be sure to take my revenge on the right one. He wasn't mad though, apparently he has another one like it so it was no big deal. They have started moving all paper things away from me since its my favorite to chew on.
I just like shredding them in a million little bits and making pictures on the floor with them. Mum isn't fond of my art work but she doesn't get mad at me. She keeps saying "at least its not another couch" I will never chew a couch again, I have never seen mum so mad at me. I didn't like that one bit.
But that was a long time ago and neither me nor mum like to think about that day too much.
Apparently it was expensive to replace. I don't know what that means, everything in life is free isn't it? I have never given any money to anyone, I just shred it when I see it.
It smells like lots of people.
One time mum had rolled some "dimes" ( what ever that is) I saw paper and ate it... it was a funny feeling when those little metal discs came out my bum later on. Mum counted them as she saw them and all 50 came back out thankfully. Apparently I could have gotten sick from that. I stay away from paper logs now though. It's fun remembering the bad things I did as a puppy.
I should go out for a pee now, I'm ready to face the day.
Hope all other blog pups are doing good, keep driving your people crazy, it shows you how much they really love you when you see how they react ;o)

Under house arrest
Well it seems I am no longer allowed outside with out mum. It sucks, I'm stuck in the house like a house dog. I am NO HOUSE DOG! There is even snow outside, I LOVE SNOW.
I am a Tibetan Mastiff after all.
Anyways, the reason for my "lock down" is I'm in heat.
I have been threatening going to into heat for a while, it was fun acting like I was about to then not being there. Mum was getting frustrated.
But its here now. No denying it.
So, I'm not allowed outside apparently the boys will find me.
I don't know which boys mom is talking about I've never seen any, but she said they're around.
Wonder if they're good looking or not?
Guess I'll never know since I'm in lockdown.

Start this off with a bang
Hopefully people searching around for pups online will google and read this.
I have to rant about the lack of things done in the Sudbury area to stop puppy mills.
In August a puppy mill in Wahnapitae was raided and the dogs seized. Not a whole lot of coverage on it, but recently on the radio I heard that the dogs are now searching for their forever homes.
Sounds like a success right?
Not really.
Today I found out that this mill is indeed still up and running.
I have called the Sudbury branch of the SPCA on several occasions about mistreated animals or mills operating (especially in the Wahnapitae area, there are 2 well known ones, rhetorical ad's in local classifieds, horrendous conditions these dogs are living in) and nothing seems to get done about it.
This one mill in particular (article seen here) is still producing all sorts of mixed breed pups in deplorable conditions.
Where is the justice?
C'mon Sudbury, stand up for those who can not speak up for themselves. Or are we an area with out a heart? Just because you are a striving community does not mean you should turn a blind eye to what is happening in our own back yards. And reading commentaries on some of the news coverage online I am ashamed that so many people think that by purchasing pets from places like this is saving them. It's not,you are opening the door for more pups to be born. Use some common sense.
Too many people are trying (and succeeding)to make a living off of breeding and selling pets.
Sudburians, please do your homework and know what you are supporting.
